I graduated from West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Science in Forestry in May, 1980. I then completed the Timber Harvesting Summer Practicum at Alabama University and went to work with Plumly Lumber Company. Over the last 36 years I’ve logged, bought timber, managed family and company timberland, managed an industrial seedling nursery, worked with wood suppliers, and sold pine, hardwood, and wildlife shrub seedlings. I love the woods and it is indeed a blessing to be a forester. Conservation means wise use and I embrace sustainable, working forests.
